background / biography
Born August 28, 1985 she was destined for stardom from the start.
She made her first appearance at the age of two before a captured audience on a New York City public bus.
“Amazing”, “Wonderful”, and “Oh my” could be heard throughout the bus as she broke into the then hit song - “I’m Not Your Super Woman”. No matter where she might be in public, you never knew when she was going to break into song and wow a stunned audience.
She went on to wow the audience of her 6th grade graduation, performing the opening song “I believe I can fly” at the age of 11. A Nu Essence was brewing in Brooklyn as she went on to crafting her skill at Talent Unlimited High School where she met and performed with other skilled vocalist, musicians and actors who are some of the super stars you know today.
After performing in several renowned New York venues such as the Village Underground, The Supper Club, Studio 243, Soul Café, and having performed throughout New York City with the New York City Choir and with several Gospel Choirs, a nu essence a.k.a. ShaQuene is ready to emerge in the entertainment industry as one of the leading female entertainers of today.
Growing up in Brooklyn, New York where stars are born such as Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Little Kim, p. diddy, fabulous, and such, she is sure to be the mighty tree that grows in Brooklyn.
